Are you craving for time out of your busy life? Do you long to reconnect with nature and regain a sense of purpose?

Here, at the island retreat camp Gea Viva, we believe that spending time in nature, can nourish your soul and restore your body`s balance. In essence, we humans have been an integral part of nature for most of history. Nature offers us a very special treasure – to attain home within ourselves.

More about the programme
Join us to experience simple eco-friendly living, be inspired by our amazing unspoiled island landscape: marvel at the stars, enjoy beautiful sunsets and swim in crystal clear waters. Our Yoga and meditation sessions support you to relax into a flow of joy and ease, and attune to spirit. Uncovering deep truths about yourself, you will attain home within.

We oiffer Yoga and meditation lessons on alternating days, apart from Wednesdays. Our Asana practice is a flowing dynamic, linked to your breath. This quickly releases stress and aligns you with your inner thruth. We strongly believe that Yoga is for everyone, no matter which age or shape, and will support you at whichever level you are, from beginners to intermediate practicioners.
In mindful meditations, you will learn to communicate with nature, deepen your connection with supreme consciousness and access your own inner truth and deeper knowing.
Yoga and meditation sessions are led by Sabine Engelhardt, the innitiator of the Gea Viva project, and others.

The Venue
Gea Viva is an eco retreat camp in a tranquil olive grove, 15 minutes’ walk from the sea and the harbour village Milna on the beautiful Croatian island Brač.

Being completely off-grid, our 1.35 ha site is designed according to Permaculture principles, featuring a geodesic dome, a greenwood pavilion, compost toilets, solar showers, solar panels, a strawbale evo cabin, a cosy Summer kitchen, a giant mosaic dragon and a stone circle, dedicated to unfolding one´s heart energy. We have two cats, a dog and a donkey, 175 olive trees, 150 young fruit trees, a vegetable garden and grow medicinal herbs.

At Gea Viva, we generate our own solar power and our water is supplied by a rainwater tank. It is essential to use water frugally as we have very dry Summers.

We offer four types of accommodation:

1.) Private glamping huts with camping beds, terrace with sea views (3 twins) (bed linen, blankets and sleeping bags provided)

2.) A glamping tent with canvas rooms and camping beds (one single 'room', two twins) (bed linen, blankets and sleeping bags provided)

3.) Camping in your own tent. We also provide tents and equipment for hire.

4.) Camping in own camper van. (2 spaces)

Showers and toilets are shared.

Gea Viva is a beautiful place where you can learn to live with nature! People I met there were very kind :) I learnt so many things thanks to Sabine. We built an eco-cabin with straw bales and it was very interesting. Moroever, Brac island is such a nice spot to camp!

I had a great time a Gea Viva. Sabine was a terrific host. Brac is unlike any landscape I have ever seen and there were plenty of beaches within walking distance from camp. I would definitely recommend Gea Viva.

The Gea Viva camp and Sabine hosted us for a week and we had a great time! The food was excellent: freash fish, fruits and vegetables, good coffee, awesome! Sabine is also a really good host, we had great discussions about everything, she is really a wonderful woman, full of spirit and talent. The camp has a really good way of thinking, in harmony with nature and soul. It is perfect to relax and have a break from the stressful city life. The beach is only at 20 mins walk from the camp, really peaceful. You have another one a bit more far away (40 min), really beautiful. We really appreciated our stay! Thanks again Sabine!
