A roundwood pavilion

This is my first building as an architect in Croatia! In a week we built this pavilion as a lecture space for the Permaculture design course. It is a Hexagon constructed from local pine for the posts and bracing and softwood for the roof. It is treated with Borax and Linseed oil, which in case of the posts has not been successful as insects moved in anyway. So it will need some other treatment. The roof covering is reed which grows in the Neretva region, about 90 km from here, which was installed by Mario of Kralj Trske and will last about 10-12 years. Impressively it holds off the rain during heavy downpours.
